Starbucks Will Implement Blockchain and Cryptocurrency

Executive Chairman of an american coffee company Starbucks Howard Schultz said that the coffeehouse chain will soon start using blockchain technology and will accept cryptocurrencies as means of payments. He believes that these moves will improve company's relationships with more "digital" clients.
"We expect payment methods will continue to evolve with acceptance increasingly becoming the global currency of the future."
At present, Starbucks does not have any plans to create its own cryptocurrency or to invest in blockchain startups. However, it is willing to use currently available applications and solutions. Schultz believes that the development of blockchain technology means that the world in entering a new age.
"I believe that we are heading into a new age, in which Blockchain technology is going to provide a significant level of a digital currency that is going to have a consumer application."
