Chinese Miners Move to Canada
January 16, 2018
China is becoming less favorable for mining cryptocurrency. The largest mining industry center is about to be relocated in Canada as the country possesses greater energy reserves.
Today up to 75% of Bitcoin-miners reside in China. Quebec can provide them with low-cost hydroelectric power for mining rigs. Another positive point in establishing rigs in Canada is the country’s cold weather conditions used for hardware cooling.
As Canadian state company Hydro Quebec reports, about 10 branch makers are considering siting their facilities in Quebec.
On top of all this, the Canadian government is receptive towards Bitcoin mining. However, infrastructure of this sector is still rather underdeveloped in the country and requires time to be improved. Canada has to establish all facilities and units necessary for crypto mining within a year.
