May 31, 2018
ETC has successfully finished its hardfork and finally defused difficulty bomb.
The code used previously for increasing mining difficulty by the original ETH is now employed by ETC.
The cryptocurrency developers told that 99% of hashrate has been updated well while pool operator AntPool Bitmain hasn't updated its software and kept on using the old net. Not the problem has been resolved. In addition the ETC team stated, no critical bugs have been detected and the block generation is likely to speed up after the hardfork.
The hardfork for the network has been coordinated and planned before so the team faced no obstacles during the process.
