Cryptocurrency Google Searches Have Significantly Declined

2017 was a crazy year for cryptocurrency, therefore it's understandable that the market have somewhat calmed down in 2018. Market capitalization of all major cryptocurrencies has been declining for several weeks.

Now to actual numbers. The amount of searches in Google for Bitcoin has slumped by almost 75 per cent over the past 3 months. The same with Ethereum, as the amount of searches for the second most popular cryptocurrency in the world has also dropped, although this number has been flat for quite some time. Speaking about Litecoin, the amount of searches of it is barely visible on the chart. It is not a bad thing, though. This cryptocurrency is from a different league.
Speaking about specific regions, Bitcoin is the most 'global' cryptocurrency, as the searches for it are equally spread around the world. Ethereum seems to be more popular in North America, Asia and small countries of Eastern Europe. Litecoin has failed to become represented on any of Google's regional charts.
It is worthy to note, that over the past 24 hours Bitcoin has lost almost a quarter of its price, while the market capitalization of cryptocurrency has dropped below $400 billion.
